오늘 새벽 전남 신안 가거도에서 장어잡이 어선이 전복돼 1명이 숨지고,2명이 실종됐습니다.

해경은 사고 직전 인근 해역을 지나던 컨테이너선이 어선과 충돌한 뒤 도주한 것으로 보고 해당 선박을 붙잡아 조사하고 있습니다.

[리포트]

거꾸로 뒤집힌 선체가 바닥만 드러낸 채 바다 위에 떠있습니다.

해경 구조대원들이 선체에 올라 구조 작업을 벌입니다.

오늘 새벽 3시 20분쯤 전남 신안 가거도 북동쪽 약 18km 해상에서 33톤급 근해장어통발 선박 A호가 전복됐습니다.

해당 선박에는 한국인과 외국인 등 모두 9명이 타고 있었습니다.

이 가운데 6명은 인근 민간 선박에 의해 구조됐지만 1명은 숨진채 발견됐습니다.

인도네시아 국적 승선원 2명은 실종됐습니다.

해경은 현장에 경비함정과 헬기 등 구조대를 급파해 수색작업을 벌이고 있습니다.

해경은 또 사고 선박을 들이받고 달아난 혐의로 홍콩 선박인 9천톤 급 화물선과 선원을 붙잡아 조사하고 있습니다.

해경은 "사고 직전 화물선이 어선을 치고 지나갔다"는 선원들의 진술을 토대로,사고 시간대에 해상을 지나간 선박을 추적했습니다.

해경은 화물선 선원들이 사고 당시 충돌 사실을 인지했는지 등을 집중 조사하고 있습니다.
