프로축구 K리그2 경남FC는 지난 9일 공식 사회관계망서비스(SNS)에 이 같은 내용이 담긴 입장문을 게재했다.

구단 측은 "최근 보도 내용으로 큰 심려를 끼쳐 깊은 사과의 말씀을 드린다"고 사과하면서 "구단은 지난 8일 관련 내용을 인지했고,학생 슬리퍼즉각 확인해 윤주태에게 경기 출전 정지 조치했다"고 밝혔다.

이어 "해당 내용은 윤주태가 2023년,학생 슬리퍼경남FC 입단 전 사항으로 사실관계 확인 후 구단 차원에서의 활동 정지를 해당 선수에게 내렸다.수사 진행 및 결과에 따라 엄중하게 후속 조치할 예정"이라고 덧붙였다.

한편 1990년생으로 지난 2011년 FSV 프랑크푸르트에서 데뷔한 윤주태는 성병에 걸린 것을 알고도 여성과 성관계를 가져 병을 옮긴 혐의로 지난 5월 불구속 송치된 사실이 뒤늦게 알려져 논란이 됐다.
