[서울=뉴시스]이승주 기자 = 동반성장위원회(동반위)와 한국공항공사는 '2024년도 협력사 ESG 지원사업' 참여 협약을 체결했다고 9일 밝혔다.

한국공항공사는 올해 처음으로 협력사 ESG 지원사업에 참여했다.

한국공항공사는 상생협력기금을 출연하고,초대형 조커협력사들이 ESG 경영 도입하고 확산할 수 있도록 ESG 교육·진단·현장실사(컨설팅)를 지원할 계획이다.

먼저 그린 밸류 체인을 강화하고 협력사들이 지속 가능한 경영 생태계를 구축할 수 있도록 ▲CEO 및 실무자 대상의 ESG 경영 내재화 교육 ▲ESG 경영 심층진단 및 컨설팅 ▲자가진단 서비스 등을 종합적으로 지원한다.

이 밖에도 환경보호와 순환경제를 실천하는 모범사례로 평가받는 '김포공항 폐아스콘 자원순환사업'의 전국공항 확대 등 순환경제를 위한 ESG 경영활동을 지속 실천해 나갈 예정이다.

폐아스콘 자원순환사업은 공항 건설현장에서 발생하는 폐아스콘을 원자재로 활용하는 사업이다.공사는 폐기물 처리비용을 절감하고,중소기업은 순환아스콘 제작에 필요한 양질의 골재를 확보해 생산비용을 줄일 수 있다.

오영교 동반위 위원장은 "한국공항공사는 민간혁신 및 성장 지원을 위해 상생과 협력을 적극 추진하고 있는 공공기관으로서 사회적 책임을 다하고 있다"며 "이번 사업을 통해 항공산업 분야의 중소기업들이 지속 가능한 기업으로 성장하는데 실질적인 도움이 될 것이다"고 밝혔다.
