충남 논산에서는 오피스텔 지하주차장이 물에 잠기면서 승강기에 타고 있던 50대 남성이 숨졌습니다.

침수 피해를 우려해 승강기를 탔다가 전원이 차단돼 사고를 당한 것으로 추정됩니다.

누런 흙탕물이 오피스텔 앞 도로로 끊임없이 흘러듭니다.

어제 새벽 2시 50분쯤,지하 2층 승강기에 사람이 갇혔다는 신고가 접수됐습니다.

[오피스텔 주민 : "사람 소리를 들으신 분이 따로 신고를 하신 거죠.계단으로 내려가 보려고 했으나 이미 물살이…."]

당시 논산에는 시간당 50mm의 폭우가 쏟아졌습니다.

사고가 난 건물은 이렇게 비탈길이 합류하는 사거리에 위치해 있습니다.

이곳으로 쏟아진 빗물이 그대로 지하주차장으로 흘러들어간 것으로 보입니다.

승강기 통로로 빗물이 빠르게 들이닥치면서 승강기가 멈췄을 가능성이 큽니다.

폭우로 인한 침수 상황에서 2차 사고로 이어질 수 있는 만큼 승강기 탑승은 절대 피해야 합니다.
