[앵커]

정부가 이른바 '빅5' 등 상급종합병원의 구조조정 방안을 내놓았습니다.

일반 병상 수를 최대 15%까지 줄여 중증 응급 환자 진료에 집중하고,복권 구입 나이전문의 중심으로 개편해 전공의 장시간 근로에 의존하는 구조를 바꾸겠다는 내용입니다.

정부가 상급종합병원의 기능부터 명칭까지 바꾸는 구조 조정을 추진합니다.

정부는 오늘 의료개혁특별위원회를 열어,복권 구입 나이상급종합병원을 중증·응급 진료 중심으로 대폭 개편하는 방안을 논의했습니다.

경증이나 중등증 이하 환자는 지역 병·의원에서 맡도록,이른바 '빅5' 등 상급종합병원에서는 일반 병상을 최대 15%까지 줄이기로 했습니다.

적정 병상 수를 유지하되 병상당 전문의 수 기준을 마련하는 방안을 검토 중입니다.

아울러 응급 진료를 위해 당직 등의 형태로 대기하는 의료진에 대해서도,일명 '당직 수가'를 새로 도입해 보상합니다.

이번 의료 공백 사태로 드러난 '전공의 장시간 근로' 의존 구조를 바꾸기 위해선,숙련도 높은 전문의 등 중심으로 진료 체계를 개편하기로 했습니다.

병원 간 서열을 암시하고 최종 치료 역할이 드러나지 않는 점 등을 고려해 '상급종합병원'이라는 이름을 바꾸는 것도 검토하고 있습니다.

미복귀 전공의 관련 조치도 속도를 내고 있습니다.

정부는 각 수련병원에 미복귀 전공의 사직 처리를 이달 15일까지 끝내달라고 재차 요청했습니다.

전공의들에겐 특위에 참여해 의견을 내면 2026학년도 의대 정원에 반영할 수 있다는 뜻도 시사했습니다.
