유령회사 동원해 하도급 대금 가로채
"A씨 등 관계자 10여명 송치 예정"[이데일리 정윤지 기자] 시중은행 본사 직원이 청소 용역업체에서 직원을 채용한 것처럼 꾸며 26억원을 횡령한 혐의로 경찰에 구속됐다.

(사진=이데일리) 서울 동작경찰서는 지난 12일 전직 시중은행 본사 직원 A씨를 특정경제범죄가중처벌등에관한법률상 횡령 혐의로 구속했다고 14일 밝혔다.

A씨는 2020년부터 2021년까지 은행 본사에서 총무부 대리로 일하면서 대기업 계열 청소 용역업체 B사로부터 인력을 받은 척 서류를 조작하고 근무시간을 부풀려 약 26억 원의 부당이득을 얻은 혐의를 받는다.

경찰에 따르면 A씨는 범행 과정에서 페이퍼컴퍼니(유령회사)를 동원했다.범행은 은행 측과 B사가 하도급 계약을 맺으면 B사가 페이퍼컴퍼니인 C사와 다시 하도급 계약을 맺고,콘텐츠진흥원C사가 A씨에게 이 대금을 넘기는 방식으로 이뤄졌다.

A씨는 해당 은행이 B사와 계약을 맺어왔다는 사실을 알고 이를 악용한 것으로 알려졌다.

경찰 관계자는 “A씨를 포함해 B사와 C사 관계자 10여명을 수사해 검찰에 송치할 예정”이라고 밝혔다.
