광주시는 '어등산관광단지 유원지부지 개발' 민간개발자인 신세계프라퍼티가 사업 협약에서 정한 토지비 1차 중도금 77억4000만원을 광주도시공사에 납부했다고 16일 밝혔다.

지난 1월 신세계프라퍼티의 협약이행보증금 116억원과 토지계약금 86억원 납부,카지노 미자3월 현지법인 '스타필드광주' 설립과 기본계획(MP)·설계용역 계약 체결에 이은 후속 조치다.

'스타필드광주'는 어등산관광단지 유원지부지 개발을 위해 2025년 하반기 펜스 설치 등 사전 준비를 시작으로 착공에 들어갈 예정이다.이어 '그랜드 스타필드 광주'와 '콘도'는 2030년 완공하고 '레지던스'와 '부대시설'은 2033년 완료할 계획이다.

앞서 지난해 12월22일 광주도시공사와 신세계프라퍼티는 어등산관광단지 유원지 부지 개발사업에 대한 세부사항을 담은 협약을 체결했다.

강기정 광주시장은 "어등산관광단지가 관광·휴양·문화·레저와 쇼핑을 함께할 수 있는 미래형 복합관광단지로 조성될 수 있도록 행정적 지원을 아끼지 않겠다"며 "추후 지역 소상공인에 대한 상생 협의도 진행할 예정"이라고 말했다.
