‘썸머킹 사과’는 아삭한 식감과 풍부한 과즙이 특징이다.농촌진흥청 사과연구소에서 육성한 국산 K-품종으로 해외 종자 사용에 따른 로열티 부담이 없다‘썸머킹 사과’는 제타플렉스 잠실점을 포함한 롯데마트 5개점과 프리미엄 도곡점을 포함한 롯데슈퍼 3개점에서 구매 가능하다.한 봉지당 5~8개가 들어 있다.가격은 1만1900원이다.

롯데마트·슈퍼 사과MD는 햇사과 확보를 위해 지난 4월부터 충북 보은,빙고노래타운경북 문경 등의 산지를 직접 찾았다.7월 중순 이후 출하되는‘썸머킹 사과’중 익은 과일만 우선적으로 수확해 조기 출하 물량을 확보할 수 있었다.롯데마트·슈퍼는 7월 중순 이후 전점으로 '썸머킹 사과' 판매를 확대할 예정이다.

채희철 롯데마트 과일 MD(상품기획자)는 “기존 저장사과에 비해 최대 20% 저렴한 썸머킹 햇사과를 통해 사과값 안정화에 최선을 다 할 계획”이며 “썸머킹 사과를 시작으로 다양한 품종의 맛있는 햇사과를 지속 선보일 예정”이라고 말했다.
