고위공직자범죄수사처에서 처장을 보좌하는 차장 자리에 검찰 출신 이재승 변호사(50·사법연수원 30기)가 내정된 것으로 알려졌습니다.

오동운 공수처장은 이르면 내일(10일) 이 변호사를 차기 차장으로 제청할 예정입니다.

공수처 차장은 처장의 제청으로 대통령이 임명합니다.

이 변호사는 2004년 검사로 입직해 인천지검,후드스코어서울중앙지검 등에서 근무했고 대전지검 서산지청 부장검사,후드스코어대검찰청 사이버수사과장,후드스코어대구지검 형사3부장 등을 지냈습니다.

2019∼2020년에는 서울서부지검 형사3부장을 맡아 시민단체가 유시민 전 노무현재단 이사장을 정경심 동양대 교수 등에 관한 허위사실 유포 혐의로 고발한 사건을 수사했습니다.

2020년 8월 후속 인사에서 수원고검 검사로 좌천되자 사직한 뒤 법무법인 지평에서 형사 전문 변호사로 근무해 왔습니다.
