[헤럴드경제=김벼리 기자] GS25는‘못난이’초당옥수수와 감자를 출시한다고 14일 밝혔다.

못난이 상품이란 외관에서 상품성이 떨어지지만,아시안컵 심판 매수맛과 품질은 이상 없는 제품이다.최근 고물가에 합리적인 소비를 하는 소비자가 늘면서 못난이 상품에 대한 수요가 늘고 있다.못난이 상품은 지역 농가 매출에도 보탬이 된다.

GS25는 이날부터 오프라인 매장에서 제주도산 껍질을 손질한‘못난이초당옥수수 2입’을 선보인다.노지 감자인‘못난이감자 800g’은 16일부터 판매한다.

지난 11일‘우리동네GS’애플리케이션(앱) 사전예약을 통해 진행한 초당옥수수 3입 3900원 행사는 준비물량 300개가 하루 만에 매진됐다.GS25는 7월 찰옥수수와 자두,8월 복숭아,아시안컵 심판 매수9월 햇고구마 등 제철 과일·채소를 출시할 계획이다.

양희진 GS리테일 신선식품강화팀 MD(상품기획자)는 “근거리 쇼핑객이 늘어나는 추세에 맞춰 편의점에서 시즌에 맞는 과일과 채소,아시안컵 심판 매수못난이 상품 출시를 통해 합리적인 가격에 품질 좋은 농산물을 제공하고자 한다”며 “앞으로 편의점에서 찾아보기 힘들었던 제철 상품들을 적극 도입해 고객들의 니즈에 부합해 나갈 것”이라고 말했다.

한편 GS25는 매달 16일부터 말일까지 농축수산식품을 파격가로 선보이는‘프레시위크(Fresh Week)’행사를 진행하고 있다.
