문제를 삼은 건 재산 중 가장 큰 부분을 차지하는 (주)SK의 전신,대한텔레콤의 가격입니다.

최 회장은 1994년 선대 회장인 고 최종현 회장의 증여금으로 대한텔레콤 주식 70만주를 취득했습니다.

이후 SK C&C로 사명을 바꾸고 두차례 액면분할을 했습니다.

항소심 재판부는 이를 감안해 주식 가치를 재산정했는데,로또 자동추첨취득 당시인 94년엔 8원,로또 자동추첨선대 회장 별세 직전인 98년 100원,로또 자동추첨SK C&C가 상장된 2009년엔 3만5650원으로 평가했습니다.

이에 대해 최 회장 측은 두 차례 액면 분할로 주식 가치가 50분의 1로 줄었기 때문에 98년 당시 가치는 100원이 아니라 1000원이어야 한다고 반박했습니다.

주식 가치가 잘못 계산돼 회사 성장에 대한 최 회장의 기여가 10배 부풀려졌다는 뜻입니다.

기자회견 이후 항소심 재판부는 최 회장의 주장을 받아들여 판결문을 수정했습니다.

하지만 "계산 과정에 오류가 있었다고 해서 판결 결과까지는 달라지지 않는다"며,로또 자동추첨재산분할액과 위자료 등 판결 내용은 그대로 유지했습니다.
