술에 취해 잠든 투숙객의 방에 마스터키로 침입해 성폭행한 혐의로 30대 호텔 직원이 경찰에 긴급체포됐다.

제주서부경찰서는 준강간 혐의로 A씨를 조사하고 있다고 17일 밝혔다.

제주시 한 호텔에서 프론트 직원으로 근무하는 A씨는 지난 14일 새벽 마스터키를 이용해 중국인 관광객 B씨가 투숙 중인 객실에 침입한 뒤 술에 취해 자고 있던 B씨를 성폭행한 혐의를 받는다.

B씨는 중국인 일행들과 술을 마시다가 만취해 이 호텔에 머물게 된 것으로 파악됐다.

A씨는 B씨의 일행들이 호텔을 나간 뒤 10분도 안돼 범행에 나선 것으로 조사됐다.

B씨는 같은 날 오전 9시 30분쯤 '프론트에서 본 남성이 자신을 성폭행했는데 당시 술에 너무 취해 반항할 수 없었다'며 신고한 것으로 알려졌다.

A씨는 경찰 조사에서 혐의를 일부 부인한 것으로 전해졌다.

A씨는 당시 B씨가 룸서비스를 신청해 객실에 갔지만 노크를 해도 응답이 없자 마스터키를 이용해 들어갔다는 취지로 진술한 것으로 알려졌다.

성폭행 혐의에 대해선 'B씨가 반항하지 않아 동의한 줄 알았다'고 한 것으로 파악됐다.

경찰은 자세한 사건 경위를 조사한 뒤 A씨에 대한 구속영장을 신청할 방침이다.
