중국 이커머스 플랫폼 '알리익스프레스'가 홈플러스 인수에 참여하지 않는다는 공식 입장을 18일 밝혔습니다.
알리익스프레스 코리아는 "최근 알리익스프레스 코리아가 국내 유통 기업과 인수합병 협상을 진행 중이라는 일부 보도에 대한 공식 입장을 전한다"며 "해당 인수합병 논의에 참여하고 있지 않다는 점을 명확히 말씀드린다"고 강조했습니다.
일각에선 홈플러스가 슈퍼 사업 부문인 홈플러스 익스프레스 매각을 추진하면서 알리와 관련 논의를 하고 있다는 관측이 나왔습니다.
이런 가운데 홈플러스 노동자들은 홈플러스 익스프레스 분할 매각에 대해 "한국의 2위 대형마트 회사로서의 위상을 포기하고 기업의 경쟁력을 약화시키는 행위이자 홈플러스의 미래와 직원 2만명의 생존권을 고려하지 않고 MBK의 이익을 극대화하기 위한 방법일 뿐"이라고 규탄했습니다.
