KT가 그룹 브랜드 이미지 제고와 사내 안전·보건 관리를 강화하는 방향의 조직 개편을 단행했다.김영섭 대표가 취임한 이래 두 번째 조직 개편이다.통신업계에 따르면 1일 KT는 사내 독립기구로 안전보건총괄 조직을 신설하고,서울 자동차 고등학교야구부그룹 이미지를 담당하는 브랜드커뮤니케이션 조직을 '담당'에서 '실'로 격상하는 내용의 조직 개편 방안을 발표했다.이번 개편은 미디어·인공지능(AI) 사업을 강화하기 위한 조직 확대에 방점을 찍은 것으로 분석된다.이번에 신설하는 안전보건총괄 조직 총괄은 임현규 경영지원부문장(부사장)이 겸직한다.

브랜드커뮤니케이션전략실장은 윤태식 브랜드 커뮤니케이션 담당(상무)이 이끈다.KT는 이번 브랜드전략 조직 격상을 통해 그룹의 브랜드를 확립하고 기업 이미지(BI·CI) 체계를 정립하는 등 그룹사 전체의 이미지를 강화한다는 전략이다.

이와 함께 KT는 AI·빅데이터 거버넌스 수립과 미래 핵심 기술 개발을 담당하는 AI2X랩의 AI코어기술담당으로 신동훈 상무를 선임했다.

신 상무는 엔씨소프트 AI테크센터장 출신으로 게임 분야 AI 언어모델을 개발하는 데 역할을 한 것으로 알려졌다.
