"자유로움이 묻어나는 대표곡들로 선정"바이올리니스트 김동현이 마포문화재단이 선정한 올해의 'M 아티스트'로서 첫 무대를 오는 7월3일 마포아트센터 아트홀맥에서 선보인다.

김동현은 라벨의 바이올린 소나타 2번,버르토크의 바이올린과 피아노를 위한 랩소디 1번,토토 어드민프로코피예프의 바이올린과 피아노를 위한 소나타 2번,토토 어드민사라사테의 카르멘 환상곡을 연주한다.

김동현은 "파란만장하던 19세기와 20세기,토토 어드민세상의 풍파에는 휩쓸렸을지언정 정체성인 음악을 놓지 않았던 예술가들의 대표적인 곡으로 선정했다"며 "곳곳에 자유로움이 묻어나는 특징이 있는 곡들이며,긍정적인 느낌과 동시에 이면의 외로운 분위기도 느껴지는 연주에 귀기울여주기 바란다"고 전했다.일본 센다이 국제 음악 콩쿠르에서 우승한 최형록 피아니스트가 호흡을 맞춘다.

김동현은 2019년 만 19세 나이로 차이콥스키 콩쿠르에서 3위를 차지하며 국제무대에 이름을 알린 차세대 바이올리니스트다.그에 앞서 2018년 제14회 서울국제음악콩쿠르 바이올린 부문 우승,2016년 제오르제 에네스쿠 국제콩쿠르 바이올린 부문 2위,토토 어드민2015년 제9회 영 차이콥스키 국제음악콩쿠르 바이올린 부문에서 우승했다.

현재 김동현은 스페인 마드리드의 레이나 소피아 음악학교에서 크리스토프 포펜을 사사하고 있다.2016년부터 금호악기은행의 고악기 수혜자로 선정되어 J.B.과다니니 파르마 1763 바이올린을 지원받아 연주하고 있다.

M아티스트는 매년 거장으로 성장할 가능성이 있는 클래식 연주자 1인을 선정해 여러 번의 공연을 통해 연주자의 다양한 매력을 관객에게 알리고자 마포문화재단이 지난해 도입한 제도다.

마포문화재단 송제용 대표이사는 "최근 국내 클래식 공연의 흥행이 일부 피아니스트에게 집중된 경향이 있어 클래식 시장 저변 확대와 다양성을 위해 현악기 아티스트를 선정했다"고 전했다.

김동현은 M 아티스트로서 올해 하반기에만 네 차례 무대에 오를 예정이다.오는 9월6일 제9회 M클래식 축제 야외 리사이틀 '문 소나타(Moon Sonata)',토토 어드민10월11일 M클래식 축제 교향악 시리즈 'KBS 교향악단x김동현',마지막으로 12월6일 'M 아티스트 리사이틀 2' 무가 예정돼 있다.
