대만에서 출항해 제주로 입항할 예정인 요트 A호(19.5t,2019년 6월 18일 야구 경기일정승선원 3명)의 연락이 두절돼 해경이 수색에 나섰다.

7일 서귀포해양경찰서에 따르면 이날 오후 4시 42분쯤 A호의 연락이 두절됐다는 신고를 받았다.

해경은 전날인 6일 오전 10시 마라도 남서쪽 389㎞ 해상에서 A호의 마지막 위치를 확인했다.

해경은 요트 위치를 외부로 발신하는 A호의 선박자동식별장치(AIS)가 고장 난 것으로 보고 있으며,2019년 6월 18일 야구 경기일정A호의 위성전화도 기간이 만료된 상태라고 전했다.요트 내 초단파통신(VHF)만 사용가능한 것으로 알려졌다.

해경은 3천t급 경비함정 등 7척의 해경 함정과 헬기를 동원해 수색하고 있으나 해상은 초속 10~12m의 바람이 불고 파고도 최대 3m에 달해 기상 조건이 좋지 않은 것으로 전해졌다.해경 헬기는 수색에 난항을 겪고 이륙 후 복귀했다.

A호는 지난 4일 대만에서 출항해 8일 오전 8시께 제주시 도두항에 입항할 예정이었으나 연락이 끊어진 것으로 알려졌다.해당 요트에는 3명의 한국인이 타고 있는 것으로 알려졌다.
