청주지법 형사6단독 조현선 부장판사는 10일 성매매처벌법 위반 등 혐의로 구속기소 된 A(33)씨와 B(31)씨에게 각각 징역 4년과 3년을 선고했다.

이들은 2021년 10월부터 지난해 12월까지 중증 지적장애인 2명에게 약 600회에 걸쳐 성매매를 알선해 8천만원의 부당 수익을 챙긴 혐의를 받는다.

A씨는 SNS에 광고방을 운영해 구매자들을 모집하는 등 범행 전반을 기획했고,손흥민 카타르 월드컵 표정B씨는 상대측의 요구 사항을 확인한 뒤 피해 여성들을 약속 장소로 데려가는 역할을 맡았다.

이들은 피해 여성들이 성매매를 거부하면 "경찰에 성매매 사실을 알려 교도소에 보내겠다"고 협박한 것으로도 조사됐다.

조 판사는 "판단력이 부족한 피해자들을 꾀어내 성매매를 시킨 점에서 죄질이 매우 불량하다"면서 "피해자 측이 피고인들의 엄벌을 탄원하고 있는 점을 고려해 형을 정했다"고 판시했다.
