조국 전 대표는 13일 전북특별자치도 정읍사예술회관에서 가진 '전당대회 후보자 순회 간담회'에서 "조국혁신당은 2026년 지방선거에서 반드시 성과를 낼 것"이라며 "당이 세운 원칙에 따라 2026년 지방선거에서 후보를 낼 곳은 내고,2018년 4월 4일 야구 경기일정내지 않을 곳은 내지 않을 것"이라고 강조했다.

조국 전 대표는 이날 "더불어민주당의 텃밭인 호남에서 조국혁신당이 나서면 분열과 제 살 깎아 먹기라는 지역의 정서와 여론이 있지만 실질적으론 조국혁신당이나 민주당 모두 이번 22대 총선에서 성공했다"며 이 같이 말했다.

그는 또 정견 발표를 통해 "다시 당 대표를 맡겨준다면 조국혁신당 '시즌2'를 확실히 열 것"이라며 "100만 당원이 참여하는 17개 시·도당을 창당해 확실한 전국 정당으로 자리매김할 수 있도록 할 것"이라고 강조했다.

이날 행사에는 김준형 당 대표 권한대행을 비롯해 조국 전 대표와 최고위원 선거에 나선 김선민 의원,2018년 4월 4일 야구 경기일정황명필 울산시당 위원장,2018년 4월 4일 야구 경기일정정도상 전북특별자치도당 위원장 등이 자리를 함께했다.
