(서울=연합뉴스) 이봉석 기자 = 중국 남부 지역에 폭우가 계속되는 가운데 후난성 창사의 시간당 강수량이 역대 최고치를 기록했다고 루중뉴스 등 중화권 매체들이 24일(이하 현지시간) 보도했다.

보도에 따르면 이날 오전 9∼10시 사이 창사에는 65.1㎜의 비가 내려 6월 기준 이 지역 시간당 강수량 기록을 경신했다.

이에 따라 많은 지하 쇼핑몰과 지하 주차장이 침수됐다.

홍콩 성도일보에 따르면 기차역은 부두처럼 변해 다수 열차가 지연됐고 창사 지하철 2호선과 3호선은 운행 중단됐다.

창사 지역에는 오는 26일까지 비가 계속될 것으로 예보됐다.

후난성 신황동족자치구와 장시성 주장시에서 산사태로 각각 8명과 2명이 사망하는 등 인명 피해도 잇따랐다.

이날 현재 유네스코 세계문화유산인 안후이성 황산 관광지 43곳은 폭우로 일시 폐쇄됐다.

또 전날 오후까지 황산 저수지 188곳 가운데 99곳 수위가 위험 수준을 넘어서 주민 5만4천여명이 대피했다.

안후이성 전체 이재민은 51만명을 넘는다.
