검찰이 노영민 전 청와대 비서실장과 김현미 전 국토교통부 장관을 오늘(12일) 압수수색 했습니다.

이정근 전 민주당 사무부총장이 한국복합물류에 취업하는 과정에 부당하게 관여했는지 살펴보기 위해섭니다.

최민영 기자가 보도합니다.

이정근 전 더불어민주당 사무부총장의 취업 청탁 의혹을 수사하고 있는 서울중앙지검이 노영민 전 청와대 비서실장과 김현미 전 국토교통부 장관 등을 압수수색했습니다.

검찰은 오늘 아침부터 노 전 실장과 김 전 장관의 집,국토교통부 사무실 등 7곳에 검사와 수사관을 보내 관련 자료를 확보했습니다.

이정근 씨의 취업 청탁 의혹은 이 씨의 '불법 자금 수수' 혐의를 수사하는 과정에서 포착돼 2022년 11월 수사가 시작됐습니다.

이 씨는 21대 총선에서 낙선한 뒤 2020년 8월 국토부 추천을 받아 한국복합물류 상근 고문으로 1년 간 일하며 1억 원가량의 연봉을 받았습니다.

일반적으로 한국복합물류는 물류 정책 경험이 있는 국토부 추천 인사를 상근 고문으로 임명해왔는데,물류와 관련해 전문성이 없는 이 씨가 고문으로 임명되면서 당시 청와대 인사들의 영향력이 작용한 것이 아니냐는 의혹이 불거졌습니다.

이 씨는 낙선 직후 노 전 실장을 만났고,강원랜드 더블배팅'실장님 찬스뿐'이라는 문자 메시지를 보낸 거로도 전해집니다.

검찰은 2022년 11월부터 지난해 3월까지 국토부와 한국복합물류,전직 청와대 인사비서관 등을 압수수색했습니다.

그러다 지난해 4월 이른바 '이정근 녹취록'에서 파생된 '민주당 돈봉투' 사건 수사가 본격화하면서 취업청탁 의혹 수사는 잠시 중단됐습니다.

검찰은 지난달 말부터 한국복합물류 관계자와 전 대표 등을 소환하면서 수사를 재개했습니다.

검찰은 압수물 분석을 마친 뒤 노 전 실장과 김 전 장관을 불러 혐의를 확인할 것으로 예상됩니다.
