음주운전 뺑소니 사고를 내고 도주한 뒤 운전자를 바꿔치기한 혐의를 받는 연인이 구속 상태로 재판에 넘겨졌다.

서울남부지검 형사5부(부장검사 조재철)는 40대 남성 A씨를 특정범죄가중처벌법 위반(도주치상 및 위험 운전 치상)·범인 도피 방조 혐의로,바둑이 사이트20대 여성 B씨를 범인 도피 혐의로 각각 구속 기소했다고 27일 밝혔다.

검찰에 따르면 A씨는 지난해 11월28일 서울 강서구의 한 이면도로에서 술을 마신 뒤 차를 몰다 도로에 누워있던 취객의 다리를 차 바퀴로 밟은 뒤 도주한 혐의를 받는다.

이 사고로 인해 피해자는 전치 10주의 상해를 입었다.

A씨는 음주운전을 감추기 위해 현장을 벗어난 후,바둑이 사이트마치 B씨가 운전했던 것처럼 행세하며 경찰에 허위로 진술했다.

검찰은 범행 전후 행적을 파악해 A씨가 음주 후 정상적인 운전이 곤란한 상태에서 운전한 사실을 규명했다.

검찰은 "무고한 시민의 생명과 안전을 위협하는 '음주 교통사고 후 도주'와 사법 시스템을 농락하는 사법 방해에 강력하게 대응하겠다"고 밝혔다.
