통계플러스 '우리나라 청년의 모습은 어떻게 변했을까'

통계개발원이 28일 발간한 'KOSTAT 통계플러스 2024년 여름호'에 수록된 '우리나라 청년의 모습은 어떻게 변했을까' 보고서에 따르면
2020년 기준 청년세대(19~34세) 81.5%(783만7000명)가 미혼으로 남자는 86.1% 여자는 76.8%가 혼인하지 않은 상태였다.5년 전과 비교하면 각각 6.1%포인트,오르비북스6.7%포인트 증가한 수치다.

연령대별 미혼 비율을 남녀별로 살펴보면 19~24세의 미혼 비율은 다른 연령대에 비해 크게 늘지 않았으나,오르비북스남녀 모두 25~29세와 30~34세 미혼 비율이 빠르게 증가하는 것으로 나타났다.

평균 혼인 연령대인 30~34세 미혼율은 2000년 18.7%에서 2020년 56.3%로 3배가량 늘었다.

1인가구 비율도 20년 전에 비해 3배 증가했다.2000년 78만1000명이던 1인 가구는 2020년 193만5000명을 기록했다.

청년 세대 거주가구 유형 중 부모와 함께 사는 비율이 40~60%로 가장 높았다.다만 2015년까지 지속적으로 증가하다 2020년에는 5년 전보다 그 비율이 3.1%포인트 감소한 것으로 나타났다.

통계청은 우리나라 청년 세대 인구(만 19~34세)가 차지하는 비중이 오는 2050년에 11%에 그칠 것으로 전망했다.총 인구 중 청년 세대 인구가 차지하는 비중은 지난 1990년 31.9%로 가장 높았으며 2020년에는 20.4%까지 떨어졌다.이어 2035년 15.7%,오르비북스2045년 12.4%를 기록하다 2050년 11.0%까지 떨어질 것으로 전망했다.국민 10명 중 1명만 청년일 정도로 청년이 귀해진다는 의미다.

한편,오르비북스이 보고서는 인구주택총조사 자료(2000~2020년)를 분석하여 지난 20년간 청년 세대의 인구·교육·경제활동·혼인 등의 변화의 모습을 담은 통계를 기준으로 작성됐다.
