서울 시청역 인근 교차로에서 발생한 역주행 교통사고 관련 사망자 9명 가운데 서울시청 직원 2명이 포함된 것으로 파악됐습니다.

서울시 관계자는 오늘(2일) "시청역 사고 사망자 중 시청 직원 2명이 포함돼 유족 지원 절차 등을 확인 중"이라고 밝혔습니다.

서울시는 숨진 직원을 비롯해 이번 사고 유족 전체를 대상으로 시 차원에서 지원할 수 있는 방안을 내부 검토 중입니다.

앞서 어젯밤 9시 반쯤 서울시 중구 시청역 인근 교차로에서 60대 운전자가 몰던 승용차가 역주행 후 인도로 돌진하는 사고가 발생해 9명이 숨지고 4명이 다쳤습니다.
