[디지털데일리 옥송이 기자] '갤럭시 AI 생태계' 폭을 넓히는 삼성전자가 중저가 라인 갤럭시 기기에도 AI 기능을 추가하기로 했다.

14일(현지시간) 삼성전자 글로벌 뉴스룸에 따르면 삼성전자는 갤럭시 S24 시리즈에서 첫선을 보인 '서클 투 서치' 기능을 갤럭시 A 시리즈와 갤럭시 탭 S9 FE 시리즈에 탑재한다고 발표했다.

갤럭시 A 시리즈와 갤럭시 탭 S9 FE는 각각 삼성전자의 스마트폰과 태블릿 PC 제품 가운데 중저가 가격대에 속한다.

삼성전자는 연초 갤럭시 S24 시리즈를 출시하며 온디바이스 AI인 '갤럭시 AI'와 파트너사 구글의 '서클투 서치' 등 일부 AI 기능을 함께 선보였다.

지난달 삼성전자 하반기 언팩에서 노태문 삼성전자 MX 사업부장 사장은 "올 연말까지 스마트폰,워치,노트북 등 갤럭시 기기 2억 대 에 자체 개발한 AI를 넣을 것"이라고 언급했다.

삼성의 이번 결정은 갤럭시 AI 확대와 동시에 파트너사 구글의 핵심 AI 기능인 서클투 서치를 자사 기기에 보급해,2024 프로야구 더블헤더플래그십이 아닌 제품에서도 AI기능을 누릴 수 있도록 한다는 점에 있다.
