최저임금위원회는 2일 정부세종청사에서 열린 제7차 전원회의에서 내년 최저임금의 업종별 구분 적용 여부를 표결에 부쳤다.

표결 결과 로 부결됐다.

앞서 경영계는 취약업종의 지불 능력을 고려해야 한다며,슬롯 에볼루션 룰렛한식·외국식·기타 간이 음식점업과 택시 운송업,체인화 편의점업에 대해 최저임금을 구분해 적용할 필요가 있다고 주장했다.

노동계는 구분 적용이 차별이라며 강력히 반대했다.근로자위원 중에서도 민주노총 측 위원들은 캐스팅보트를 쥔 공익위원 성향이 불투명한 상황에서 표결에 부치는 것 자체를 강력하게 반대해 왔다.

이날도 이미선 민주노총 부위원장은 이인재 위원장에게 표결을 재검토해달라고 강력하게 요구했으나,슬롯 에볼루션 룰렛위원장이 표결을 강행했다.
