일본 국민 메신저로 불리는 라인의 운영사 라인야후가 네이버와 시스템 분리를 앞당기고 서비스 위탁 관계도 종료하겠다고 밝혔습니다.

일본 정부의 경영권 침해 논란이 일고 있는 가운데 관계 단절이 가속화되고 있습니다.

도쿄 지종익 특파원이 보도합니다.

일본의 국민 메신저 라인의 운영사 라인야후 주주총회에서 이데자와 다케시 최고경영자가 네이버와 시스템 분리를 서두를 것이라고 밝혔습니다.

시스템 분리 완료 시점을 기존 목표였던 2026년보다 더 앞당기겠다고 했습니다.

지난해 50여만 건의 개인정보 유출 사건으로 일본 정부가 네이버에 대한 과도한 의존을 줄이라고 압박한 데 따른 조치입니다.

라인야후는 또 일본 내 서비스 사업 영역에서도 네이버와의 위탁 관계를 종료하겠다고 밝혔습니다.

일본 국민 4천4백만 명이 이용하는 모바일 송금과 결제 서비스 라인페이도 내년 4월 말까지 순차적으로 종료됩니다.

라인야후는 네이버와의 자본 관계도 재검토하라는 일본 정부의 요구에 대해선 모회사인 소프트뱅크의 자본 관계 변경을 결정할 수는 없다면서도 검토를 요청하고 있다고 밝혔습니다.

라인야후 측은 이사회 내 유일한 한국인으로,프로야구선발투수사실상 네이버를 대표해 온 신중호 최고제품책임자도 주주총회를 통해 이사회에서 제외했습니다.

라인야후는 오는 28일까지 일본 개인정보보호위원회에 네이버 위탁업무 정리 계획 등을 보고하고,프로야구선발투수총무성에는 다음 달 1일까지 자본 관계 재검토 방안을 제출할 계획입니다.
