충남 논산에서는 오피스텔 지하주차장이 물에 잠기면서 승강기에 타고 있던 50대 남성이 숨진 채 발견됐습니다.

침수 피해를 우려해 승강기를 탔다가 전원이 차단돼 사고를 당한 것으로 추정됩니다.

소방대원들이 양수기로 물을 퍼냅니다.

오늘 새벽 3시쯤,바이에른 대 아인트라흐트지하 2층 승강기 안에 사람이 갇혀 있다는 신고가 접수됐습니다.

[오피스텔 주민 : "이미 대피한 상황에서,바이에른 대 아인트라흐트그 다음에 사람 소리 들으신 분이 따로 신고를 하신 거예요.계단으로 내려가 보려고 했으나 이미 물살이 너무 세서…."]

구조대가 도착했을 때는 이미 지하 2층 천장까지 잠긴 상황.

배수 작업과 동시에,수동으로 승강기를 끌어올렸지만 신고 3시간 만인 새벽 6시쯤,바이에른 대 아인트라흐트50대 남성이 숨진 채 발견됐습니다.

침수 피해를 우려해 승강기를 탔다 사고를 당한 겁니다.

당시 논산에는 시간당 50mm의 폭우가 쏟아졌고,저지대에 위치한 오피스텔 지하주차장이 빗물받이 역할을 한 것으로 보입니다.

승강기 통로로 빗물이 빠르게 들이닥쳐 정전되면서,바이에른 대 아인트라흐트승강기가 멈췄을 가능성이 큽니다.

[이동열/대전보건대 재난소방·건설안전과 조교수 : "지하에 물이 차 있는 경우에 순식간에 물이 닿으면서 엘리베이터가 이동하지 못해서 빠져나오지 못하는 경우가 있을 수 있는데요."]

폭우로 인한 침수 상황에서 2차 사고로 이어질 수 있는 승강기 탑승은 절대 피해야 합니다.
