중국 소셜미디어 웨이보에 따르면 15일 오전 9시55분쯤 중국 쓰촨성 워룽 선수핑기지에서 한 관람객이 푸바오를 촬영하다가 카메라의 렌즈 덮개를 방사장 안으로 떨어뜨렸다.

유튜브 등에 올라온 영상을 보면 푸바오는 이 렌즈 덮개를 주워 입으로 가져가 잘근잘근 씹어댔다.기지 측은 즉각 관람을 중단하고 푸바오를 내부 방사장으로 데려가 건강에 이상이 없는지 확인했다.

다행히 푸바오는 덮개 조각을 섭취하지 않은 것으로 알려졌다.현재는 관람이 재개된 상태다.기지 측은 방사장 울타리 주변에 관람객의 지나친 접근을 막는 조치를 취할 예정이다.

2020년 7월 한국 에버랜드에서 태어난 푸바오는 지난 4월 3일 중국으로 반환됐다.이후 적응 과정을 거쳐 지난 12일 대중에 공개됐다.
