(서울=연합뉴스) 정윤주 기자 = 옛 연인을 성폭행하려 하고 때려 다치게 한 혐의를 받는 럭비 전 국가대표 선수가 구속됐다.

서울 강남경찰서는 강간상해 및 재물손괴 혐의로 A씨를 구속해 지난달 25일 검찰에 기소의견으로 송치했다고 1일 밝혔다.

A씨는 지난달 10일 서울 강남구에 있는 옛 연인 B씨의 자택에서 B씨를 성폭행하려 하고,침 맞고 뻐근함B씨가 저항하자 폭행한 혐의를 받는다.

A씨는 또 B씨가 경찰에 신고하자 B씨의 휴대전화를 여러 차례 던져 망가뜨리린 것으로 전해졌다.

A씨는 지난달 21일 구속됐다.

A씨는 2020 도쿄올림픽에 국가대표로 참가했고 최근까지 실업팀 코치를 맡으며 방송에도 활발히 출연한 것으로 알려졌다.
