피의자로 한 차례 출석했지만 혐의 부인…추가 조사 방침

(서울=연합뉴스) 김정진 기자 = 서울 성북경찰서는 서울시 공공자전거 '따릉이' 27대를 성북천에 집어 던진 피의자를 조사 중이라고 14일 밝혔다.

경찰에 따르면 20대 남성 A씨는 지난 9일과 12일 총 세 차례에 걸쳐 따릉이 27대를 천에 내다 버린 혐의(재물손괴)를 받는다.

지난 11일과 12일 "성북천에 따릉이 여러 대가 버려져 있다"는 신고를 받은 경찰은 폐쇄회로(CC)TV 영상 등을 토대로 추적한 끝에 A씨를 피의자로 특정했다.

이후 경찰은 출석을 요구했고 A씨는 전날 오후 9시께 나와 한 차례 조사를 받았다.

그러나 A씨는 혐의를 부인했다고 경찰은 전했다.

경찰은 혐의를 입증하기 위한 추가 수사를 이어갈 방침이다.
