간밤에도 서울이 열대야를 겪으며 지난 118년 중 최장 열대야를 기록했습니다.

15일 오후 6시 1분 이후 서울 기온은 26.8도 아래로 떨어지지 않았습니다.

밤(오후 6시 1분부터 이튿날 오전 9시까지)에도 기온이 25도 이상을 유지해 열대야 기준을 충족한 것입니다.

서울은 지난달 21일 이후 26일 연속 열대야를 겪었습니다.

'21세기 최악의 더위'로 꼽혀온 2018년에 세워진 '기상관측 이래 가장 긴 열대야' 기록을 다시 쓴 것입니다.

서울에서 근대적인 기상관측이 시작한 시점은 1907년입니다.

기상기록은 순위를 매길 때 최근 기록을 상위에 놓는 것이 원칙이어서 기록상 현재 이어지는 열대야가 '역대 최장 열대야'가 됐습니다.

2018년에도 올해처럼 서울에서 7월 21일부터 8월 15일까지 열대야가 매일 밤 반복됐습니다.

그러나 2018년엔 광복절을 기점으로 열대야가 끊어졌다면 올해는 이어질 전망입니다.

서울 최저기온 예상치를 보면 주말엔 27도,아시안컵 라이브 보는 법19~21일은 26도,절기 '처서'인 22일부터 26일까지는 25도로 처서에 이르러서야 열대야에서 벗어나는 걸 기대는 해볼 수 있겠습니다.
