"그레이트 챌린저로서 ESG 경영 추진"㈜한화는 환경·사회·지배구조(ESG) 분야 주요 활동과 성과를 담은 '2024년 지속가능경영보고서'를 발간했다고 28일 밝혔다.

주요 성과로는 ▲탄소 감축 계획 달성을 위한 K-RE100 가입 완료 ▲기후 변화 시나리오에 대한 정량적 재무 영향 분석 시행 ▲주력 제품에 대한 환경 전과정평가 수행 ▲글로벌부문 전 사업장 공정관리등급 S등급 획득 ▲중장기 인권경영 로드맵 수립 등이 담겼다.

이번 보고서는 기업의 내·외부 관점에서 사회·환경적 영향과 재무적 영향을 종합적으로 고려한 이중 중대성 평가가 활용됐다.

한편,스타 도박㈜한화는 전사 ESG 경영을 추진해나가고 있다.2021년 이사회 산하에 ESG위원회를 설립,스타 도박지속가능경영 활동 및 친환경 전략의 전문적 심의와 의사결정을 위한 거버넌스를 구축했다.ESG위원회 산하 실무 추진 조직으로는 환경경영,스타 도박안전보건경영 등 10개 모듈로 구성된 ESG협의체를 만들었다.

이러한 노력의 결과로 '2023 CDP 코리아 어워즈'에서 산업재 부문 '탄소경영 섹터 아너스'를 수상했으며,스타 도박건설부문은 '2023년 대한민국 동반성장 시상식'에서 최우수 기업으로 선정됐다.지난 4월 모건스탠리캐피털인터내셔널(MSCI)이 실시한 ESG 평가에서 지배구조 분야의 향상된 점수를 바탕으로 'A'등급으로 한 단계 상승하기도 했다.
