대전고법 형사3부(재판장 김병식)는 9일 오후 공직선거법 위반 혐의로 기소된 박경귀(63) 아산시장에 대한 파기환송심에서 당선무효형에 해당하는 벌금 1500만원을 선고했다.

박경귀 시장은 지난 2022년 6월 치러진 제8회 전국동시 지방선거 당시 상대 후보였던 오세현(55) 더불어민주당 후보에 대해 부동산 허위 매각 의혹을 제기한 혐의(공직선거법 위반 등)로 재판에 넘겨져 1심에서 벌금 1500만원을 선고받자 무죄를 주장하며 항소했다.박 시장은 항소심에서도 벌금 1500만원을 선고받고 상고했으며 대법원은‘(박 시장 쪽이) 새로 선임한 변호인에게 소송기록접수통지가 이뤄지지 않아 절차상 문제가 있다’며 사건을 대전고법으로 파기환송했다.
