해병대 출신 방송인 김흥국 씨가 '해병대 특검 반대 국민대회'에서 "가짜 해병 있고 좌파 해병 있는 걸 이번에 알았다"고 발언했다.

27일 해병대 예비역 100여개 단체와 회원들은 국회 앞에서 "해병대를 정치에 이용하지 말라"며 특검 반대 투쟁에 나섰다.

이 자리에 함께한 김흥국 씨는 무대에 올라 "저도 공인이고 연예인이고 누구 못지않게 앞장서고 싶지만 좌파 쪽에서 나를 매일 공격한다"며 "가장 가슴 아픈 건 대한민국 해병대에 가짜 해병 있고 좌파 해병 있는 걸 이번에 알았다"고 말했다.

그러면서 "대한민국 해병대는 나라와 국민을 위해 존재하는 군대로 평생을 살아왔다.그런데 어떻게 채 상병 사건 때문에 해병 가족이 이렇게 비참하게 생활할 수가 있느냐"고 덧붙였다.

또 김 씨는 "죽은 후배(채 상병)에 저도 마음이 아픈 상황이지만 그래도 이렇게 오래 질질 끌면서 언제까지 들이댈거냐"라며 "우리 해병대 선후배분들 오셨는데 해병대 우습게 보고 자기네 멋대로 막말하는 정치인들 가만히 두면 안된다"고 주장했다.

아울러 "대한민국 해병대 우리가 지켜나가야한다.해병대가 살아있는 것을 증명해주셨으면 고맙겠다"라고 끝맺었다.

이날 강신길 해병대 예비역 준장도 무대에서 "군사작전에는 언제나 위험과 실수가 동반된다.군의 작은 실수를 이용해 청문회를 열고 대통령을 탄핵하자고 외치는 나라는 한국밖에 없을 것"이라고 목소리를 높였다.

또 이희규 전 국회의원장도 "일촉즉발의 안보 위기에서 해병대를 더는 정치에 이용하지 말라"고 하며 특검 반대 목소리를 냈다.
