IBK기업은행이 28일 ESG(환경·사회·지배구조) 경영 성과를 담은 2024년 지속가능경영보고서를 발간했다고 28일 밝혔다.

올해 보고서는 이해관계자의 ESG 정보 활용도를 높이기 위해‘이중 중대성 평가(Double Materiality Assessment)’결과를 기반으로 재구성했다.이중 중대성 평가는 환경·사회적 영향과 재무적 영향을 모두 고려해 중대 이슈를 도출하는 방식이다.

기업은행은 이중 중대성 평가를 통해 ▲기후변화 대응 ▲금융소비자보호 ▲정보보안 및 개인정보보호 강화 등의 중대 이슈를 도출해 ESG 정보를 상세히 다뤘다.

특히 이번 보고서는 기후 관련 재무정보공개 협의체(TCFD) 기준과 국제 지속가능성기준위원회(ISSB)의 기후 관련 공시 기준(IFRS S2) 등 최신 글로벌 ESG 공시 기준을 반영해 온실가스 배출량 공시 범위를 자회사까지 확대했다.

기업은행 관계자는 “강화된 ESG 정보 공시 기준에 따라 이해관계자에게 양질의 정보를 제공하고자 노력했다”면서 “앞으로도 ESG 핵심 이슈에 대해 이해관계자와의 소통을 더욱 활성화하겠다”고 설명했다.
