화성 화재 희생자 대부분은 불이 난 2층 작업장 안에서 발견됐습니다.

불기둥이 치솟으며 굉음이 이어지자,공장 1층에서는 놀란 직원들이 허겁지겁 달려 나옵니다.

"1층 복도까지.바깥을 분간해서 못 나갈 정도로 1층 복도가 완전히 꽉 찼었습니다."

하지만 같은 시각,아바타 슬롯폭발이 시작된 2층 작업장에 있던 근로자 53명 가운데 23명은 빠져나오지 못했습니다.

화재진압 후 수색에 나선 소방대원들은 화재가 처음 발생한 지점 바로 앞 작업실에서만 시신 21구를 발견했습니다.

오늘 낮 가장 늦게 발견된 시신 1구는 무너진 건물의 잔해 밑에서 발견됐습니다.

불이 난 쪽에는 복도로 나갈 수 있는 출입문 2개가 있었지만,순식간에 뒤덮은 연기로 인해 앞을 볼 수 없게 된데다 금방 질식해 대피하지 못한 겁니다.

"짧은 시간에 유독성 연기를 흡입하시고 그게 한두 번만 마셔도 금방 질식되고 의식을 잃거든요."

또 불길을 잡는데 시간이 오래 걸리면서 시신 대부분은 심하게 훼손되고 말았습니다.
