[헤럴드경제=김성우 기자] HL그룹의 EV·자율주행 솔루션 전문기업 HL만도가 인천국제공항공사와‘자율주행 기반 주차로봇 공동연구’업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 5일 밝혔다.

지난 4일 인천국제공항에서 열린 협약식에는 조성현 HL만도 부회장,메가 카지노이학재 인천국제공항공사 사장 등 주요 관계자들이 참석했다.

이번 협약을 통해 양사는 올해 10월부터 발렛파킹 로봇‘파키’(Parkie)를 인천국제공항에서 실증 운영한다.공항과 같은 대규모 공공시설에 자율주행 주차 로봇을 적용하는 첫 사례다.

HL만도 관계자는 “인천국제공항에서의 다양한 실증과 사용자 시나리오 검증이‘파키’상용화를 앞당기는 계기가 될 것으로 기대하고 있다”고 말했다.
