부산경찰청은 2022년 6월부터 올해 3월 초순까지 한의사와 전문의,프로야구 헤드샷간호사·브로커가 연계된 보험사기전문 한방병원을 운영하며 허위진료기록을 138회 발급하는 방법으로 실손보험금 9억6000만원을 챙긴 혐의 등으로 한의사 병원장과 간호사 상담본부장을 구속하고 환자 등 병원 관련자 총 103명을 검거했다고 9일 밝혔다.

의약품 독점공급 대가로 1억원의 리베이트를 준 의약품 공급업자도 붙잡혔다.

경찰에 따르면 A병원장은 고령의 의사를 채용한 뒤 실제 처방과 진료는 간호사가 전담하게 했고,프로야구 헤드샷환자들은 허위 질병진료기록과 영수증을 발급해 준다는 병원 측의 제안을 받아들여 범행에 가담했다.

병원 측은 단속에 대비해 주요 증거물을 은닉하는 등 범행을 이어왔지만 경찰 수사에서 범행 전모가 탄로났다.경찰은 범죄수익을 환수하기 위해 피의자들의 부동산 2억5000만원 상당을 기소 전 추징보전 조치했다고 밝혔다.

부산경찰은 금감원과 조직형 보험사기 범죄를 단속하기 위해 올해 초 MOU를 맺어 보험사기 정보를 교류하고 있고 이번 사건도 금감원과 공조해 관련자를 모두 검거한 것으로 알려졌다.

경찰 관계자는 “보험제도에 대한 신뢰를 무너뜨리고 선량한 가입자까지 피해를 입히는 보험사기를 철저히 수사해 반드시 엄단하겠다”고 힘줬다.
