16일 업계에 따르면 STX중공업은 오는 30일 임시 주주총회를 열고 이러한 내용을 담은 정관 변경 및 이사 선임 안건을 의결할 예정이다.

앞서 공정거래위원회는 지난 15일 HD한국조선해양이 STX중공업의 주식 35.05%를 취득하는 기업결합에 대해 조건부 승인을 결정했다.HD한국조선해양은 국내를 포함한 세계 선박용 엔진 1위 업체다.다만 공정위는 앞으로 3년간 한화엔진 등 경쟁사가 STX중공업의 부품 공급에 차별받지 않도록 하는 조건을 내걸었다.

이번 임시 주총에서는 지난해부터 STX중공업 인수 작업을 총괄한 강영 HD현대중공업 사장과 여인표 HD현대중공업 상무 등 총 3안의 사내이사 선임 안건도 의결될 예정이다.업계에서는 HD현대중공업 최고재무책임자(CFO)를 역임한 강영 사장이 HD현대마린엔진 신임 대표로 선임될 가능성이 높다고 본다.
