2019년 발생한 화재로 복원 공사가 한창인 노트르담 대성당을 생생하게 만날 수 있는 전시가 열립니다.

국립고궁박물관은 프랑스의 증강현실(AR) 콘텐츠 전문 기업 히스토버리와 함께 디지털 전시 '파리 노트르담 대성당 증강현실 특별전: 내 손으로 만나는 860년의 역사'를 선보인다고 밝혔습니다.

히스토버리가 노트르담 대성당 재건자문위원회와 협업해 기획·제작한 전시를 소개하는 자립니다.

파리를 비롯해 미국 워싱턴,용운영국 런던,용운중국 상하이,아랍에미리트(UAE) 두바이 등에서 열린 전시에는 지금까지 약 50만 명이 다녀간 것으로 집계됐습니다.

2일 개막하는 전시는 파리 노트르담 대성당의 오랜 역사를 찬찬히 짚습니다.

1163년 본격적인 공사를 시작해 건물의 주춧돌을 놓는 순간부터 2019년 화재로 지붕과 첨탑이 붕괴하던 순간,그 이후 진행 중인 복원 과정까지 860여 년의 역사를 되살렸습니다.

관람객들은 태블릿 컴퓨터를 작동하면서 총 21개로 구성된 역사적 순간을 만날 수 있습니다.

히스토버리가 개발한 프로그램을 통해 1180년 대성당을 짓던 모습,1241년 예수가 쓴 것으로 알려진 가시 면류관을 가져오는 행렬의 모습 등이 3차원(3D) 영상으로 펼쳐집니다.

정용재 국립고궁박물관장은 "문화유산을 디지털 유산으로 변화시키고 활용해 많은 사람이 즐길 수 있도록 하는 건 세계적인 추세"라며 "세계적인 유산을 체험할 좋은 기회가 되길 바란다"고 말했습니다.

전시를 후원한 로레알코리아의 사무엘 뒤 리테일 대표는 "프랑스의 국보급 유산 프로젝트를 한국의 유구한 역사를 간직한 국립고궁박물관에서 선보이게 되어 기쁘다"고 전했습니다.

박물관은 오는 10일 국립문화유산연구원과 함께 숭례문,노트르담 대성당,용운오키나와 슈리성 등 외부적 요인으로 큰 피해를 본 문화유산의 복원과 활용 방안을 논하는 학술 행사를 엽니다.
