네이버 '라인야후 사태'와 관련해 네이버 최수연 대표가 2일 단기적으로 지분을 매각하지 않을 것이라고 밝혔다.

이날 최 대표는 국회 과학기술정보방송통신위원회 전체 회의에 증인으로 출석해 '단기적으로 지분을 매각하지 않는 것이냐'는 조국혁신당 이해민 의원의 질의에 이같이 답했다.

앞서 라인야후는 전날 일본 총무성에 제출한 보고서에서 단기적으로는 자본 관계 재검토가 곤란한 상황이나 네이버 측과 계속 논의하겠다고 밝힌 바 있다.

'라인야후 사태'의 발단은 지난해 11월 라인에서 약 51만9천건의 개인정보가 유출된 것에서 비롯됐다.당시 회사와 일부 내부시스템을 공유하던 네이버 클라우드가 사이버 공격을 받아 악성코드에 감염된 것이 원인으로 지목됐다.

이후 일본 총무성은 지난 3월 '네이버와의 자본 관계 재검토'를 포함한 경영체제 개선 요구 행정지도를 내렸고 이후 네이버가 보유한 라인야후 지분을 소프트뱅크에 매각하라는 압박이 계속되고 있다.
