재가 의료급여 사업,다음달 전국으로 확대

(서울=연합뉴스) 김병규 기자 = 보건복지부는 장기 입원 후 퇴원하는 의료급여 수급자에게 의료·돌봄 등의 서비스를 제공하는 '재가 의료급여' 사업을 다음달부터 전국으로 확대한다고 30일 밝혔다.

재가 의료급여 사업의 대상자는 한 달 이상 장기 입원 중이지만 의료적 필요가 낮아 퇴원할 수 있는 의료급여 수급자,라리가 경기입원과 퇴원을 반복하는 환자다.

사업은 이들에 대해 돌봄 계획을 수립한 뒤 의료,라리가 경기돌봄,라리가 경기식사,이동 지원 등 필수 서비스와 주거 환경 개선,라리가 경기복지용품 및 냉난방 용품 제공 등의 선택 서비스를 제공하는 방식으로 진행된다.

시범사업은 2019년 6월 13개 지역에서 시작된 뒤 대상 지역이 확대돼 2023년 7월부터는 73개 지역에서 운영됐다.그동안 2천300여명의 수급자가 이 제도를 통해 지원·관리받았고,라리가 경기6월 말 현재도 922명이 관리 대상이다.

복지부는 지원 대상자 중 80% 이상이 서비스에 만족해 사업 효과가 확인됐다고 설명했다.

시범사업에서는 대상자가 입원 필요성이 낮은 장기입원자였지만 전국 확대와 함께 시행되는 본사업에서는 입원과 퇴원을 반복하는 환자도 포함되며 1인당 서비스 지원금액 한도도 월 60만원에서 72만원으로 상향 조정된다.

정충현 복지부 복지정책관은 "의료급여 수급자 중에서는 주거와 돌봄 문제 등 현실적인 어려움을 겪는 분들이 많다"며 "이분들이 지역사회 내에서 양질의 서비스를 받고 잘 정착할 수 있도록 돕겠다"고 말했다.
