지난해 집중호우 수해 실종자 수색 중 순직한 채모 상병이 속했던 해병대 제1사단 7포병대대의 전 대대장이 "해병대사령관 등이 자신을 차별하고 따돌렸다"며 국가인귄위원회에 13일 진정을 제기했다.

이날 이모 중령 측은 순직 사고 후 김계환 해병대사령관과 임성근 전 1시단장이 이 중령과 7포병대대 부대원 간 접촉을 차단하고 이 중령의 해병대 내 공식 모임 참석을 막는 등 차별했다는 이유로 차별 중단을 위한 긴급구제 조치도 신청했다.

지난달 29일 이 중령은 해병대 내 고립을 견디다 못해 정신병원 입원 치료를 받는다고 공개했고,도박 장단점이날 퇴원 예정이다.

이 중령은 채상병 순직 이후 지난해 12월 대대장 보직에서 해임됐고 현재 업무상과실치사 혐의로 경북경찰청 수사를 받고 있다.

그는 경찰 조사에서 지난해 집중호우 피해복구 당시 '호우로 인한 수색 종료'를 건의했지만 임성근 당시 1사단장이 이를 무시하고 수중수색을 강행했다고 주장했다.
