국가유산청은 고도보존육성중앙심의위원회에서 고령을 새로운 고도로 지정하기로 의결했다고 3일 밝혔다.이번 고도 지정은 인구감소 지역인 고령에 활력을 제고하는 기반이 될 것이라는 기대감도 내포돼 있다.

고도는 역사상 중요한 의미를 지닌 지역을 의미한다.지난 2004년 3월‘고도 보존에 관한 특별법’이 제정되면서 경주와 부여,공주,스포츠 토토 보증익산이 고도로 지정된 바 있다.새로운 고도 지정은 20년 만으로 고령은 다섯 번째로 정해지는 고도가 된다.

고도로 지정되면 주거 환경이나 가로 경관을 개선하는 사업을 지원받을 수 있다.핵심 유적 안내를 비롯해 홍보,교육,체험 등 유적을 활용한 역사문화공간조성 사업 등도 추진이 가능하다.지역민들에게 실질적인 도움이 될 수 있는 주민 지원 프로그램 운영도 지원된다.

고도로 지정되는 고령은 대가야의 궁성지,스포츠 토토 보증유네스코 세계유산인 지산동 고분군,스포츠 토토 보증왕궁의 방어성인 주산성,스포츠 토토 보증수로교통유적,스포츠 토토 보증토기가마 등 문화유산이 훼손 없이 보존된 곳이다.대가야의 건국설화를 비롯한 무형유산도 명맥을 이어오고 있다.

특히 지산동 고분군은 고분 구조와 출토된 유물이 신라와 차별화된다.지난 1978년 32호 무덤에서 갑옷·투구 등과 함께 발굴된 금동관은 대가야를 대표하는 희귀한 금속공예품으로 국가지정문화유산 보물이다.국가유산청 측은 “‘대가야식‘고령식’으로 불리는 유물들은 독창적인 가치를 가지고 있어 의미가 크다”고 부연했다.

국가유산청은‘고도육성법 시행령’을 개정해 지정을 마무리할 예정이다.
