13일 오후 1시 18분 기준 카카오페이(377300) 주가는 전 거래일 대비 6.01% 하락한 2만 3450원에 거래되고 있다.

전날 중앙일보는 카카오페이가 고객들의 개인신용정보를 중국 최대 핀테크 업체인 앤트그룹(알리) 계열사 알리페이로 넘겼다는 사실이 금융감독원 검사에서 적발됐다고 보도했다.

이와 관련 카카오페이는 불법 제공 의혹에 대해 “사실이 아니다”라며 정면 반박했다.

카카오페이 측은 “애플의 앱스토어 결제 수단 제공을 위한 정상적 고객 정보 위수탁”이라며 “알리페이와 애플과의 3자 협력을 통해 애플 앱스토어에서 결제가 가능하도록 하는 데 필수적으로 필요한 부정결제 방지 절차를 마련해 두고 있다”고 해명했다.

카카오페이 측은 위법이 아니라는 입장을 고수하고 있지만 금감원의 판단과 소비자들의 불안감으로 주가가 하락했다.
