부처 협업 기반 AI확산 사업 2024년 신규과제 (과학기술정보통신부 제공) 2024.07.02 /뉴스1

(서울=뉴스1) 김승준 기자 = 과학기술정보통신부는 공공분야에 인공지능(AI)을 접목하는 '부처협업 기반 AI확산' 사업의 2024년 신규과제가 본격적으로 시작된다고 2일 밝혔다.

2022년부터 시작된 부처협업 기반 AI확산 사업은 공공의 업무 부담을 경감하고 서비스의 신뢰도를 높임으로써 최종 수요자인 국민이 그 혜택을 체감할 수 있도록 하는 목적이다.또한 사업에 참여한 AI 기업이 공공분야 적용 이력을 바탕으로 타 산업 등으로 서비스를 확산할 수 있는 발판을 마련하기도 한다.

올해 예산은 240억 원으로 2023년 80억 원에서 대폭 늘었다.

신규 과제 10건은 1월부터 기획을 시작해 공모,평가로 수행기관이 확정됐다.

신규과제들은 보훈,실시간 스포츠배팅환경,실시간 스포츠배팅교통,실시간 스포츠배팅안전,실시간 스포츠배팅고용 등 다양한 공공서비스 분야로 구성되었으며 총 3년 동안 기술개발을 추진한다.개발은 공공데이터를 안전하게 수집·가공할 수 있는 '안심존'을 활용해 이뤄진다.마지막 해에는 실제 수요기관 테스트베드 등을 활용한 실증을 거친다.

김경만 과기정통부 인공지능기반정책관은 "공공분야에 AI를 선도적으로 접목함으로써 국민들이 일상에서 혜택을 체감할 수 있도록 AI 일상화 노력을 지속겠다"며 "국내의 경쟁력 있는 AI서비스가 공공뿐 아니라 민간과 글로벌 시장에도 확산·진출할 수 있도록 정책적 지원을 아끼지 않겠다"고 말했다.
