5일 중국 상무부는 사이트에 게재한 공지문을 통해 오는 18일 EU산 브랜디 반덤핑 청문회를 연다고 밝혔다.

앞서 중국 상무부는 지난 1월5일 EU산 브랜디에 대한 반덤핑 조사에 착수한다고 발표했다.

중국의 청문회 일정 발표는 EU가 중국산 전기차에 대해 추가 관세 부과를 공식화한 이후 첫 반응이다.

이는 지난 6월 12일 집행위가 사전 예고한 잠정관세율(17.4∼38.1%)보다는 소폭 하향된 것이다.

EU는 이미 중국산 전기차에 대해 10%의 관세를 부과하고 있는데 이번에 발표된 상계관세율은 기존 관세에 추가로 적용된다.

이에 따라 관세율이 최저 27.5%에서 최고 47.6%로 인상된다.

관세 부과 조치가 4일 관보에 게재되면서 5일부터 발효된다.

이런 관세가 적용된 이후 EU 인구의 최소 65%를 대표하는 15개국이 이 조치에 반대하지 않는 한 11월2일부터 확정돼 5년간 효력을 유지한다.

이 기간 EU 27개국은 투표를 거쳐 5년간의 확정관세로 전환할 지를 의결한다.
