한국관광공사가 7월에 가볼만한 곳으로 동해시 어달·대진해변을 포함한 5곳을 선정했다.

공사는 이달 테마를 '여름 바다'로 정하고 다양한 해양 스포츠를 즐길 수 있는 바다 여행지를 소개했다.

묵호항과 대진항 사이에 자리한 어달해변은 여름 휴가철에도 피서객들이 크게 붐비지 않아 여유로운 시간을 즐기기 좋은 여행지다.

어달항에는 파스텔색으로 칠한 테트라포드가 동해 바다와 어우러져 색다른 풍경을 볼 수 있다.

또 어달해변 모래사장에는 약 300m 구간에 120여개에 달하는 테이블을 설치해 피서객들이 자유롭게 음식을 가져와 먹을 수 있다.

대진해변은 서퍼에게 알려진 여행지다.

서퍼들은 서프보드를 타고 파도 위에서 여름을 보내고,아시안컵 컵서핑을 하지 않는 이들은 모래 위에서 푸른 바다를 보며 휴가를 만끽하기에 제격이다.

이와 함께 동해시 새로운 여행지로 떠오르는 도째비골 스카이밸리도 가볼만하다.

한편 7월에 가볼만한 곳은 동해 어달·대진 해변을 포함해 인천 대이작도,아시안컵 컵서산 중리 어촌체험마을,아시안컵 컵울산 진하 해수욕장,아시안컵 컵고창 구시포 해수욕장 등 총 5곳이다.
