일론 머스크 테슬라 최고경영자가 소셜미디어 서비스 엑스(X·옛 트위터)에서 현지시간 12일 저녁 도널드 트럼프 전 대통령과의 인터뷰를 앞두고 엑스가 대규모 디도스 공격을 받는 것으로 추정된다고 밝혔습니다.
디도스는 특정 서버를 대상으로 지속적이고 많은 양의 트래픽을 유발하는 해킹방식입니다.
머스크는 당초 12일 오후 8시,투머치토커한국 13일 시각 오전 9시 부터 공화당 대선 후보인 도널드 트럼프 전 대통령과 라이브 인터뷰를 할 예정이었으나 30분 넘게 접속 장애가 이어지고 있습니다.
머스크는 생방송 예정 시간이 약 20분 지난 후 자신의 엑스에 “최대 800만명까지 동시 접속이 가능하도록 시험을 했지만 대규모 디도스 공격이 발생한 것을 감지했다"며 “최악의 경우 소수의 청취자만 있는 상태에서 인터뷰를 진행한 뒤 그 내용을 나중에 게시하는 방법도 있다”고 말했습니다.
