16일 세종소방본부 등에 따르면 전날 오후 6시 31분쯤 "신안저수지 물 위에 아기의 시신 1구가 떠 있는 것 같다"는 시민 신고가 접수됐다.

해당 저수지는 고려대학교 세종캠퍼스에서 약 200m,경마공원 렛츠런파크홍익대학교 세종캠퍼스에서 약 600m 떨어진 곳이다.

신고를 받은 소방은 현장에 출동,경마공원 렛츠런파크저수지에서 영아 시신을 발견하고 인양해 경찰에 넘겼다.

경찰은 발견된 영아가 타살됐을 가능성이 있다고 보고 수사 중이다.

또한 국립과학수사연구원에 시신 부검을 의뢰하는 등 자세한 사건 경위를 조사 중이다.
